Staff of Bayelsa Health Insurance Scheme (BHIS), have been urged to ensue discipline and hard work in order to advance the vision underlining the establishment of the scheme.
The Bayelsa State Head of Service, Barr. Biobelemoye Onyeama made the remark while speaking at the opening ceremony of a five-day training programme organized for staff of Bayelsa Health Insurance Scheme by the management of the scheme in collaboration with Control System Centre, Port Harcourt at the Health Insurance House in Yenagoa.
The Head of Service who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Establishment, Training and Pension Bureau, Mr. Yela Alagoa also advised the staff to take the training seriously stressing that capacity building is key to achieving success in every organisation.
Mrs. Biobelemoye commended the Executive Secretary of the Bayelsa Health Insurance Scheme, Dr. Zuoboemi Agadah for the regular training of staff of the scheme noting that training is a necessary tool for achieving skills for service delivery.
She testified to the benefits of the scheme stating that the scheme has saved a lot of lives in the state.
In his welcome remarks the Executive Secretary of the Bayelsa Health Insurance Scheme, Dr. Zuoboemi Agadah also reiterate the importance of training and retraining in an organization and urged staff of the office to take maximum advantage of the training to enhance their job performance.
