The BHIS/Corona Management Team has successfully concluded a one-day training session for the first cohort of healthcare providers participating in the Bayelsa Health Insurance Scheme. This session, which focused on key areas such as claims management, referral and pre-authorization code requests, marks the beginning of a series of targeted training sessions that will be conducted in phases.
Each session is carefully structured to equip healthcare providers with essential skills and in-depth knowledge, enabling them to navigate the referral system, pre-authorization processes, enrollment procedures, and claims handling with greater proficiency. Our goal is to improve the efficiency of these processes through this new update and innovation, ultimately enhancing the quality of service offered to all BHIS beneficiaries.
